Tools for Student Bible Studies

The Logos Bible App is a great place to start with studying on your phone. The ability to switch translations and to have multiple study Bibles for free available are both great benefits to the app. Along with that there is the ability to really dive into a passage guide and commentaries.

BlueLetterBible.org is another resource that will help with referencing passages with others across the Bible. Again the ability to look at free commentaries on a passage for free makes this website another great resource. It will take a little time to adjust to using the website, but it is very helpful.

Untitled design(10)_edited.png

Who is the Audience?

Who was this passage written to?

Was it written to Israel, a specific group of people, or even to a specific person?

This may require a deeper dive into a commentary or study Bible to find the answer.

What is Being addressed?

Is there an issue, sin, or command that is being spoken or warned about?

What is the direction that is given within the passage about the situation?

What is being revealed about God?

Does God reveal something about Himself?

How is God reacting to or warning against the situation that is being addressed?

What is Being Revealed about people?

What is revealed about the people?

Is it a problem that is still present today? Is it something that shows the tendencies or nature of people?
